WhenWas is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect zero data from our users.

• No Activity Data: Your tracked activities, timestamps, and reset history stay entirely on your device
• No Analytics: We do not collect any usage data, analytics, or telemetry
• No Personal Information: We never collect names, emails, or any identifying information
• Purchase Information: App Store purchases are handled entirely by Apple - we never see your payment details

2. How We Use Your Information

We don't use your information because we don't collect any. All app functionality works entirely on your device:

• Activity tracking and history happens locally on your device
• Optional iCloud sync uses only Apple's secure CloudKit (we never access this data)
• Notifications are generated locally by your device
• App improvements are based on App Store reviews, not data collection

3. Data Storage and Sync

All Users

All data is stored locally on your device only. No data is ever transmitted to our servers.

Pro Users (Optional iCloud Sync)

When you enable iCloud sync:

• Data syncs directly between your devices through Apple's CloudKit
• Your data stays in your personal iCloud account - we never see it
• WhenWas has zero access to your iCloud data
• All encryption is handled by Apple, not us

4. Data Sharing

We cannot share what we don't have. Since we collect zero data, there is nothing to sell, trade, or share with anyone.

5. Third-Party Services

WhenWas uses only Apple's built-in services:

• Apple CloudKit: For optional device-to-device sync (your data stays in your iCloud)
• Apple StoreKit: For App Store purchases (we never see payment info)
• Apple UserNotifications: For local reminders (generated on your device)

These services are governed by Apple's privacy policies, not third-party data brokers.

6. Data Security

The best security is not collecting data in the first place:

• All data stays on your device, protected by iOS security
• Optional iCloud sync is secured by Apple's encryption
• We have no servers to breach, no databases to hack
• Your privacy is protected by design, not just policy

7. Your Rights

Since we collect nothing, you control everything:

• Complete Ownership: All your data belongs entirely to you
• Local Control: Add, edit, or delete activities anytime
• No Tracking: No need to opt-out because there's nothing to opt-out of
• iCloud Control: Enable or disable sync in your device settings

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy occasionally. When we do, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date
• Notify users through the app if changes are significant
